Telomerase Enzyme and Cancer

The latest studies show the signs that telomerase has the ability of remaking or repairing the chromosomes in two ways. The way chosen by telomerase depends upon the division of cell, whether it is normal, or it is taking place while the cell is under stress from enzyme inhibition. This fact can take us to new vaccines and therapies for the fight against cancer. Telomeres (protective caps at the tips of chromosomes) determine the number of divisions of the cell. And every time the cell is divided, telomeres get smaller in length. When this, process takes place several times, then after reaching the time when telomeres reaches a certain limit, the cell dies, or stops dividing further. What happens in cancer is that the telomerase enzyme keeps fabricating the telomeres, as a result of which the cell never gets the signal to stop dividing. Discovered in 1985, the telomerase enzyme is considered to be very important for the disease of cancer (for causing and curing both).

Getting Rid of Public Fear is Not That Difficult

If you have had an intense fear of public speaking for many years and have tried a variety of ways to get rid of fear – without success, you would probably conclude that you are never going to get rid of it. Or, even if you do, it will take considerable time, effort and strengthening.

If you have used more conservative methods to get rid of your fear, you may have been probably right. Techniques like Lefkoe method (TLM) is one of the methods. In fact, TLM is the only method that has been logically confirmed to totally eliminate the fear of public speaking.

As Lee Sechrest, Ph.D., professor of psychology at the University of Arizona after conducting a thorough scientific study with 36 people who had a severe fear of public speaking. He concluded and said that “The method of Lefkoe effective is virtually eliminating the fear of public speaking.”

After serving hundreds of people with a fear of public speaking it was concluded that there are simply a few thinking that cause fear.

Nadolol: Beta Blocker

Since approved by the FDA in 1979, the beta blocker nadolol is used in treating high blood pressure and heart pain. Our body releases certain chemicals called norepinephrine and adrenaline. These chemiclas are attached to receptors on several types of cells, including the nerves and some muscles. When these chemicals are released, they change the way our cells function, either stimulating them or suppressing them. Nadolol prevents norepinephrine and adrenaline from binding to beta receptors on nerves. By this action, this beta blocker reduces heart rate and the force of heart contractions. This results in reduced blood pressure and a relaxed muscles around the blood vessels.

When the workload of the heart requires more oxygen than what the blood can supply, heart pain occurs. Ingesting nadolol slows the heart rate and decreases the force of contractions of the heart reducing the demand of the heart’s muscle for oxygen. So heart pain is prevented.

Whey Protein Shakes for Workout Enthusiasts

In powdered form, protein is more readily absorbed in the body and can quickly repair and heal muscle damage as compared to solid food protein. As protein shakes, the powdered protein can come from several components which mostly come from whey, casein, soy and egg. Each of these contains different combination of essential and non-essential amino acids. This only makes them a better source in producing different types of protein in the body.

A shake of whey protein is often used by athletes, dieters and health conscious enthusiast. It is a leftover product from coagulated milk and as a lactose-water solution it is made up of the soluble components of milk. The protein in whey is globular and contains several types of protein and it provides the fastest rate of digestion and absorption thereby restoring the muscle tear or breakdown of muscles after a rigorous workout. The shake can be taken in powder or concentrated forms with flavors you can choose from such as vanilla, strawberry, chocolate or coffee.
